Edi Taslim completed his German Diploma degree from Faculty of Literature, University of Indonesia in 1996. At a glance, his basic education is so different from what he is currently doing, where he shows his talent in managing media business.
Edi Taslim is not a stranger to the readers of CHIP magazine, one of the most popular computer magazine in this country. He started his career as the founder of CHIP magazine in 1997, and become Group Editor-in-Chief in the IT Magazine Department in PT. Elex Media Komputindo (Kompas Gramedia). One of his achievements is developing CHIP Magazine in neighbouring countries such as Malaysia (CHIP Media Sdn. Bhd.) and Singapore (CHIP Media Pte. Ltd.). In these countries he was appointed as CEO and Editorial Director in magazine products in these companies.
In 2006, he returned to Jakarta and joined Kompas.com in mid 2007. Edi had also participated in re-creating Kompas.com portal in 1998 and as Business GM, his work is to determine business strategy of Kompas.com in the future. Edi, who was borned on 15 July 1974, is also Deputy Business Director of Kompas Daily since the beginning of 2010.
