Enda Nasution

Enda Nasution (Bandung, 29 July 1975) is a writer who is better known as “The Father of Blogger in Indonesia” by the Indonesia mass media circle because of his existence in promoting the use of blog in mainstream media. His contribution in the blog world started from his article entitled “Apa itu blog?” (What is a Blog?) in 2001. This was followed by the first blog which especially discussed about 2004 General Election and Indonesia Help blog.
He is active in campaigning internet, blog world and social media through the mass media, printed as well as in TV. Because of this he is frequently invited to various seminars and workshops, such as Asia 21 Young Leader Summit which was held in Seoul, South Korea (end of 2006). The graduate of Civil Engineering Faculty, ITB (Bandung Technological Institute)n(1999) had even been in several positions namely: Copywriter at Ogilvy & Mather Jakarta (2000-2002), Contributor at Global Voices Online, a project from Harvard Law School (2005), the 1st Chairman of Pesta Blogger, 2007, an annual national Indonesian blogger event and Steering Committee of Pesta Blogger in the following years.
He had received Indonesian Ad Award for Dancow dan Sampoerna A Mild advertisements, became a finalist in Clio Advertising Award (2002), and was awarded as The Hottest Creative Person in Asia by Campaign Brief Asia (2002 & 2003).
