Techcrunch will attend Seminar on Startup Investment in Indonesia
Hi guys,
Some of you may have already read a review about SparxUp Awards 2010 di Techcrunch today. If you have not read it, please read it here. There is an extraordinary appreciation from a worldwide blog on our effort to highlight the awesome works of the startups of this country. The supports we received from you and our friends from the internet industry are also extraordinary, and not just that, our friends from Malaysia, Singapore and even, Hongkong has shown their support towards SparxUp, on Indonesian startups.
Even Sarah Lacy, Editor of Techcrunch and BusinessWeek Silicon Valley will be here to share the startups culture in Silicon Valley. Sarah has been a reporter in Silicon Valley for more than 10 years and observes the development of internet companies here since the beginning of 1990s until the internet boom at the beginning of 2000 to Web2.0 and all its evolution. This is an overwhelming and boosting appreciation on our effort to bring Indonesian startups into the global internet arena. Small companies, BIG WIN!
With a wide support on SparxUp Awards 2010, several startup friends and internet industry are worried about the expensive tickets for the seminar which seems to be restricting the access for startups. Why do we make this seminar expensive?
The theme of this seminar itself is on investment in startup Indonesia and our targets are finance companies (Venture Capitalists), vendors and finance circles, as you can see in “Who should attend?”. It is true that in this seminar we are not after startup founders, and that is why we decided to fix a high price for the tickets which are meant for those who can afford to buy the tickets.
Does this mean that we do not want startup to participate in SparxUp Awards 2010? Of course not, this event is about you, startups.
The seminar on investment is just one of the series of SparxUp Awards 2010 events in the upcoming November. Besides the seminar, we will also be organising Awarding Night dan gathering for SparxUp Awards 2010 participants where we will invite international speakers for sharing. This second event is meant for startups, and it’s free.
So, startup friends, you don’t have to worry about losing this precious momentum of this event and pay for an expensive seminar.
We charge from those who’s willing to pay, and give back to startups for free.
